In the same period gold soared from $35 to over $1,000 and silver went from $2 to over $50. Demand for silver
bullion now exceeds the supply and this has been the case since 1990. The US government, once the largest holder of
silver bullion, is actually buying silver. Stuppler's "Perfect Golden Storm" article,
published in April 2004, made an excellent case for investing in gold and silver. Since then, the price of gold has
risen 46%, while silver is up over 40% since the start of this year. While past price appreciation never guarantees
future growth, these silver dollar values have consistently trended upward over time.
Coins again are the most popular way globally to hold gold bullion or silver bullion since they are so compact.
There are also gold accounts at bank that investors can hold. This helps to protect you against theft, since there
are no easily traceable methods of finding stolen gold or silver bars and coins.

coins that have their inscriptions too faded to be understood is categorized as poor, while the coins with legible
date and denomination are categorized as fair and good (G) and are considered mediocre coins. Proof coins are a 70
